Sarah’s Sign

sign-from-god

By now I’m sure you’ve either heard Palin talking about God showing her open doors, or you’ve read it somewhere.  I looked everywhere for God opening doors, but thought this was the next best thing.

Now if only I can find a sign that says, ‘Sarah, stay in Alaska.’  Love, God….

Palin’s Book Deal

Several Australian news organizations are claiming Palin is being heavily wooed for a book deal that could pay out $7 million.

Apparently no one will touch George W. Bush’s memoirs with a ten-foot pole, but Ms. Palin, who was on the national scene for all of 10-11 weeks, is going to make a fortune on being chosen by McCain to be his running mate.

My mama told me life wasn’t fair, but still….

This one’s for you, Sarah.  It’s refreshing to see that President-elect Obama believes in the constitution.

Heartbreaking

This is a heartbreaking story.  I just signed the petition and urge you to do the same by clicking on the photo.  Here’s the story:

This summer, Alaska wildlife agency personnel reportedly staked out a known wolf denning site – a practice that is illegal under Alaska law – and, using helicopters, gunned down 14 adult wolves from the air.

When they landed, they found 14 helpless pups in the nearby dens – infant wolves just weeks old – and methodically shot each one in the head. 28 wolves gunned down in all.

Due to a loophole in federal law, Alaska is the only state in the U.S. where a few hunters still use aircraft to shoot wolves or chase them to exhaustion before landing and shooting them point blank. But the practice of “denning” – the killing of wolf young in the den – is prohibited even under Alaska law. This killing of 14 wolf pups disturbs even longtime hunters in Alaska.

Will Palin do the right thing and call for an investigation and prosecution of any state employee found guilty of this?

Shaw on Palin

The trouble with her is that she lacks the power of conversation but not the power of speech.

Pwned Palin

A Montreal radio station gets Palin good by pretending to be French President Nicolas Sarkozy.  Go listen now!

UPDATE:  Daily Kos has a transcript you can read.  At first this is very funny, but it quickly turns to being an embarrassment.  She apparently doesn’t know who the PM of Canada is, nor does she realize that Quebec doesn’t have a PM and she talks about what a great role model France is for the McCain campaign.  Does Palin know how socialist France is?  Everyone has health care and the work week is limited to 35 hours/week with a minimum of 6 weeks off each year.
