Get A Life

I subscribe to Newsweek and this week’s copy arrived yesterday.  I had already read it and put it in the recycling bin when I came across this at The Jed Report.

I immediately went to the garage and dug the magazine out of the bin because I had not noticed anything unusual with the cover.  I had to look pretty hard to see what this woman was complaining about.  I then handed the magazine to Mr. gyma and asked him if he could see anything wrong with the photo.  Nope.  Even with a couple of hints he couldn’t see anything.

I think Fox News just made a mountain from a molehill and now everyone will be talking about this baloney for the next week.  Is this all the Fox News harpies have to talk about?

Wow!

Palin Wins The Debate….

I laughed first, then banged my head on my computer table when I read this doozy from who else?

[….] Steve Doocy then jumped in by pointing out the fact that although both Biden and Palin were wearing flag pins, Palin’s was “about three times the size of his.” “So I would say flag-pin wise, she is a hands-down winner,” said Doocy. Carlson noted that her pin had “a few more jewels” too.

How do these people find their way to work every morning?!

Whatever – Just More of the Same

I don’t know when this was splashed on Fox News, but it must be fairly recent since it refers to the Obama/Biden ticket.

Does anyone believe Fox News is fair and balanced and not actually piped directly from the GOP?

I watched Sen. Obama being interviewed by George Stephanopoulos this morning and Obama tried to make the point that there had been a coordinated effort to label him as Muslim.

George was quick to point out that the McCain campaign had never said that, which forced Obama to say some of McCain’s surrogates were pushing it.

Once again, I don’t watch Fox News, nor do I have cable in the house, so I don’t see much of this except for what I get from the Internet.  I did hear, however, that someone has already severely clipped part of that interview from this morning showing Obama referring to “my Muslim faith.”

Of course it is taken completely out of context, but that doesn’t keep people from spreading it virally.  I’ve come to believe that people look for information that confirms what they already believe, the facts be damned.  Not a healthy way to make decisions regarding the presidency, in my opinion.

But I guess we’re not a very serious country any more.
