1,577 Times?!

jailI suppose it’s possible for an ex-husband to have nude photos of his ex-wife without her knowing it.  But the way things are going, I’d be very careful about spicing up your love life by posing for the hubby.  You know the line about how you never really know the person you’re married to, right?

Things always start out so well and then one day you wake up and decide you can’t take it any more and call it quits.  Rarely is this a joint decision and one of you feels jilted and starts looking for payback.

This dude was obsessed with revenge and more than 1,500 times (in 9 months, mind you) he logged on, flirted with some online stud muffin, and then sent nude photos of the ex-wife to said SM.

He’s now spending 2.5 years in jail where one can only hope he doesn’t have internet access.  Oh, this wasn’t his first offense either.  He was sentenced to 5 years probation in 2006 for similar offenses.  Dear lord, I hope it was a different woman!

Political Sabbatical

I’m struggling of late when it comes to processing the political news of the day.  I’m not seeing any thoughtful, analytical news, whether it’s from television, radio, or anything in print.  I continue reading about a dozen blogs as time permits, and from them I get the gist of what’s going on and I don’t like it.  I want substantive analysis of what’s happening in Washington because I don’t have time to read through 600+ pages of legalese to discover for myself what’s being proposed.

And I certainly don’t want to hear what Joe the Plumber, Sarah Palin, Dick Cheney, or Rush Limbaugh have to say.  ABOUT ANYTHING.

So for awhile I’m going to post about some of the other weird and silly things I discover and will leave the weird and silly politicking to others.  My sanity demands it.

Overdue Library Book

pverdueAs a former supervising librarian I often had to listen to all manner of excuses for lost and overdue library books.  I’m sure some were legit and others were as bogus as ‘the dog ate my homework’ stories teachers must endure.

I love this story about Sully’s overdue, and most likely ruined, library book and how the library handled it.  I’ll remember this story every time I hear or read about the person who was arrested for failing to return an overdue library book.

Blackberries for Kids

I suppose it was bound to happen, especially now that Obama has won the battle over keeping his Blackberry.  Can anyone tell me why a toddler needs a toy Blackberry with a fully functional qwerty keypad?
