Happy Return Shopping Carts to the Supermarket Month

I bet you didn’t know February was Return Shopping Carts to the Supermarket Month, did you?  Why do I know this?  Because every month a different staff member runs the monthly staff meeting and one of those duties includes preparing a quiz of trivia related to that month.  February is my turn to run the meeting so I came across this important piece of information while preparing the quiz.

Apparently the reason for Return Shopping Carts to the Supermarket Month is that every year 2 million carts disappear from stores.  At approximately $100 per cart, you’re talking $200 million dollars worth of wayward carts.

If you are guilty of stealing shopping carts, knock it off!
