Paper Clips

If you are a Netflix customer, this is one of those movies you can watch on your computer for free.  I was quite moved by the story of a middle school in Tennessee who started a project to bring meaning to the devastation of the Holocaust.  I think most of us would have a hard time imagining a million of something, so collecting paper clips as a way of visualizing the staggering numbers of victims, seems like a great idea.  And once the students got into the project, well it simply developed a life of its own.  I think all good teaching is done this way and this project will stay with these kids throughout their lives.
